Sarah with her 1961 long neck Ode banjo

Sarah DuChaine was born in 1971 in the United Kingdom. As a child she loved playing outdoors, animals and art. At 17 she accomplished one of her early life goals and received a place at art college.
Sarah loved the 'hippy' lifestyle of art college and you could often find her on the street with friends painting 'street art' with her Doc Martin boots and a velvet cap by her side for people to throw their change into.
A couple of years later she started hitch hiking through the U. K. towards Europe. Sarah wondered around France and Spain for a while, staying at camp sites or sleeping in her tent until she  arrived in Gibraltar. She found a cool spot to live on an old Danish Fishing Ketch with other traveling folks, a job in a local cafe and lived a fun, simple life until she returned to the U. K.
She then embarked into a new life, marriage and her son, Jonathan, who was born in 1994. Divorce soon came and Sarah was a single parent for 14 years. During that time she worked in restaurants, clubs and started a nail business up and eventually opened up her nail salon.
Another change of direction came when she was accepted into college to study counseling. She had nearly completed her courses when, one night in September of 2007, when having a meal out with a friend, she stumbled upon a blues singer from the United Sates singing and playing in a local bar.
In 2008 she packed up her suitcases, her home and her business and moved with her son over to the U.S and married Kent DuChaine.
Sarah and her husband live in the woods, by a beautiful lake in South Georgia, in the States in a house that he built out of reclaimed wood with their children.
Sarah started up a new business designing and hand making jewelry using copper, silver and gem stones. She sells her designs in local stores, craft fairs and on line on Esty and Face Book.
