Hi folks!
I have an old white enameled bath tub with yukky brown stains all down the front of it. The inside was not as bad but it still had a dirty look to it. I have scrubbed and scrubbed and SCRUBBED that thing since I have moved into this house 6 years ago. I thought I had tried everything.
Tonight I decided to go online and try to find another solution (again). I started reading a thread that suggested using hydrogen peroxide. I tried...didn't work.
They said it works very good on brown stains left from drain cleaner. My brown stains where obviously not from drain cleaner.
One person had put that toilet cleaner worked so I tried it. They suggested using Lysol but I only had my trusty Dollar General stuff. I did not think for one second it would do anything ( i have even tried wet sanding it once with no effect!!)
I poured it down the front of my tub and rubbed it all over and left it for about 5 / 10 minutes. I went back with my scrubber (sponge on one side and scourer on the other) and scrubbed it.
My tub is white...and I mean WHITE!!!!
I did the same with the inside and I just cannot tell you how amazing it has worked. I wish I had taken a picture of it before I had done it as it was really, really bad.
So....I have found, tried and succeeded in getting a very yukky old enamel bath white again. I thought the only way was to get it re enameled.
Try it...it works a treat! Hope this helps some folk out there!
The stuff I used it the toiler bowl cleaner to the far right.

My Back Deck
I feel so lucky to walk out onto this beautiful deck every day. My husband has been really busy staining, painting and attaching the wooden spindles in place. We overlook a big old creek that comes off Lake Eufaula (Lake Walter F George) in South Georgia. Some work on this deck still needs to be done but it's so exciting to be to the completion stage! We got the spindles for about $1 each from an second hand place near where we live. He built this house all by himself using reclaimed wood from a house that got torn down. It really is an amazing space. I am going to post more pictures of our home. We don't have a lot of $$ so we go second hand and reclaimed as much as possible. It really is amazing what you can do with a bit of paint!

starting up a blog!
Oh my! I'm sure if I was 10 years old this would be real simple! Well I'm 42 and starting up my blog for the world to see my "blah blah"!
Well..I'm Sarah and I have lived on this earth for 42 years and hope to be around a whole lot more! I was born in the UK and now live in a small town in South Georgia, USA. I have an amazing husband, a son, a step so.
I hand make jewelry and have a lot of fun doing it.
That is what this blog is going to mainly about...my jewelry. I read so much on the internet from others that helped me sooooo much start up my buisness from tips on wire wrapping, soldering, what tools to do what, how to display my creations, etc, etc. I want to pass on the things I have learned and help others. I also want to get my creations 'out there' more!
That will do for my first blog, I think! It's really a test run to see how all this stuff works!
Speak to you all soon!
Sarah
ps...any blogging tips would be great!
